Hello and welcome to the December edition of the Brighton Person-Centred Community news. We hope that you're keeping safe and are able to enjoy the festive period in the way that you'd like to. We have a hybrid meeting this month. You may want to get in touch with us before hand if you plan to attend. If you'd like to get more involved and possibly even be a point of contact also then let us know! If you have anything you'd like to share that you think would be supportive for Community members or want to reach out for something yourself, do consider using this newsletter as a way to do so. The normal suggested donation whether attending online or in person meeting is £5 for this meeting but we do not wish money to get in the way if this amount is difficult for you. Introduction to Focusing workshops What is Focusing? What is the felt sense? In this course you will be introduced to the Focusing process and the particular way of Focusing Listening. We will explore the Focusing attitude and the practice of ‘clearing a space’ (which can help with overwhelm). Learn the gentle yet empowering practice of Focusing for getting a better sense of how you feel and what you need. Connect with the inner wisdom that your embodied experience holds and experience a fascinating and enlivening way of connecting with others. Weekend course - 5th & 6th Mar - 10-5 - £130 - on Zoom Places for Saturday only may be possible (£65) TO BOOK http://www.suzimackenzie.com/focusing-training.html Weekday course - Thursday lunchtimes in March/April - £130 - on Zoom art one: 10th, 17th, 24th, 31st March 1-2.30pm Part two: 21st & 28th Apr, 5th & 12th May 1-2.30pm Places for parts one and two separately may be possible (£65) TO BOOK http://www.suzimackenzie.com/focusing---short-online-courses.html Community Meetings Community Meetings are held on the third Saturday at each month at the Friends Meeting House, Ship Street, Brighton BN1 1AF. We meet upstairs, usually in room 3, but the room number will be indicated on the whiteboard which is next to the Reception desk. Newcomers are always welcome, come along, say hi and see what it’s all about! The meeting runs from 9:30 to 12:30, but arrive a little earlier to give yourself time to prepare a drink. The cost is £5 to cover hire of room and tea, coffee and biscuits.
