In Person Meeting

The meeting will take place at 9.30-12.30 Saturday 18th November. This will be our usual monthly meeting but also with a focus on how and whether we continue these monthly meetings. Existing and former members hope to discuss what we want going forward, how we can bring back some energy to the Community meetings given our low numbers of late and how the Community might evolve in future. All welcome!

Please come and input into how our community works. You don't need to email to say you're coming but if you want to then you can contact William on willjaj@virginmedia.com. It is £5 to attend but we do not wish money to get in the way if this amount is difficult for you. The fee attempts to cover the cost of the room, and if you would like to pay more than £5 you are welcome to.

To pay online our bank details are:

PERSON CENTRED COMMUNITY; 08-92-99, 65079432 or you can bring cash to the meeting. Refreshments are available in the break.

Walking Community

All are welcome to the walking community group. The meeting will be Saturday 11th November at 10am, contact Chris on aihpos58@gmail.com if you are interested and for exact location to meet. "We can walk in silence, talk as we are walking and or both while in nature. This will be from the Warren Road Car Park at the top of the Brighton Racecourse. My only request for people attending is that confidentiality be maintained. That we take responsibility to listen with our hearts and communicate with empathy and respect. In my case I am also interested in authenticity."

Person Centred Reading Group

The reading group has been meeting for many years and offers an important way of connecting with other person centred trained therapists We meet regularly to enhance our understanding, be stimulated by each other's views and to enjoy the company. Each evening has some pre meeting reading and after our discussion we plan the next topic, date and venue. We meet on Friday evenings, typically in Lewes in a member's house. Contact person Geraldine Pass geraldinem1264@gmail.com.

Group for recently qualified Person-Centred practitioners

Have you recently completed your person-centred training? Perhaps you are in the midst of setting up private practice, working out what to do now, or how to be yourself in a person-centred way after completing the training. Then this might be for you!

Having qualified a year ago from Metanoia I have missed the support of others and the explorative space offered through the training. My hope is that this group could provide some of that by offering an open, supportive, non-judgemental space for discussions with peers in a similar position. The agenda will be flexible to meet the needs of those attending. It could be what it means to be person-centred finding our unique way with that, or perhaps practical discussions relating to setting up in private practice, or sharing our own experiences to listen and learn together. Let’s see what is present when we meet.

The plan is to meet monthly on the first Saturday of every month. The next meeting will be on Saturday November 4th at New Road Psychotherapy Centre, Hove, from 10am till 12pm. There’s a charge of £7 (plus booking fee) to cover the room cost only. To book your place to attend please follow this link: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/group-for-recently-qualified-person-centred-practitoners-tickets-699524385267.

For any questions on the group feel free to email Jenn on jennpaynegregory@gmail.com. This group is affiliated with the Brighton Person-Centred community and sits alongside the regular monthly meetings that take place on the third Saturday of the month at Brighton Friends Meeting House as well as the Walking Community and Reading Group.
