The latest news from the Brighton Person-Centred Community...
Hello and welcome to the May edition of the Brighton Person-Centred Community news.
Uncertain times... changeable weather. Maybe in such times we can turn to each other as fellow humans - still changeable and unpredictable ourselves, but joined and hopefully supported by, a common desire for encounter, meeting of minds, sharing our humanity. We will be meeting on Saturday 18th May and welcome you in all your humanness. See below for details.
Do remember that you can share things via this newsletter. If there's anything you think would be of relevance to your Person Centred peers feel free to send it in to the email address at the bottom and we can include it here. You might have something you'd like to let us know or you might even have a question to ask and perhaps others reading this newsletter can help answer it...
Introduction to Focusing – Saturday 8th June (and optional second day on 9th June) and Discounted sessions to learn Focusing one to one (see below) 10.00am – 5.00pm - The Crescent Practice, 19 Montpelier Crescent, Brighton, BN1 3JF (Near Seven Dials, ten minutes from Brighton station)
6 hour CPD certificate available
After this workshop there is the option to attend a second workshop, then potentially four more weekend workshops which lead to a BFA Certificate in Focusing Skills see suzimackenzie.com/focusing-training for full info and to book
Focusing is a natural skill which supports wellbeing and ongoing self-exploration. Connect with your body, improve your relationship with yourself, support overwhelming emotions and connect with your intuition. Step into a way of experiencing that is more nuanced, rich and alive. The workshop is highly experiential and explores the ‘felt sense’ and Focusing listening. Optional day two and further weekends lead to a BFA Certificate in Focusing Skills.
I will also be offering discounted one to one sessions to learn Focusing over the summer months - email me if you would like to be kept informed about this or future workshops. email@example.com
Community Meetings are held on the third Saturday at each month at the Friends Meeting House, Ship Street, Brighton BN1 1AF (see map). We meet upstairs, usually in room 3, but the room number will be indicated on the whiteboard which is next to the Reception desk. Newcomers are always welcome, come along, say hi and see what it’s all about!
The next meeting at the Friends Meeting House is Saturday 18th May. The meeting runs from 9:30 to 12:30, but arrive a little earlier to give yourself time to prepare a drink. The cost is £5 to cover hire of room and tea, coffee and biscuits.
