Here we are with the December installment of news from the Brighton Person-Centred Community.
We're pleased to say that we had a good response to our recent 'call to arms' and have welcomed new members into the group of volunteers that runs this fair community! More details will be shared in the new year on our shiny new website.
For now we'd like to give acknowledgement and thanks to Sonia Dixon, Lasy lawless, Aly Woods and Corinna Lord who have all stepped down from their roles and allowed others to pick up their baton after serving all of us in the community for many years. Thanks to you all for going a long way to ensuring our dear community exists and runs so well!
YMCA Downslink Group are currently looking to recruit honorary counsellors who would like to work with:
- 13-25 year olds in the local community, and
- families in the local community
More information about each of these roles is attached to this email.
Alternatively, you can email Honorary Counsellor Coordinator Holly Myfield H.Myfield@ymcadlg.org, or call 01273 222576 Wednesday-Friday for an informal discussion.
Community Meetings are held on the third Saturday at each month at the Friends Meeting House, Ship Street, Brighton BN1 1AF (see map). Newcomers are always welcome, come along, say hi and see what it’s all about!
Next meeting is this Saturday 19th December. The meeting runs from 9:30 to 12:30, but arrive a little earlier to give yourself time to prepare a drink. The cost is £5 to cover hire of room and tea, coffee and biscuits.
