NEW PCC Library

We have decided to invest in a small PCC Library

The group has about £1k to spend on activities to invest in growing the Person Centred Community.  One suggestion was that we purchase some therapy related books and start a library. There are so many great books around and so many new and emerging topics to try to keep up with.  It would be extremely expensive for each of us to buy all the recommended reading. 

By opening a library, we could:

• enable people to keep up-to-date
• learn about other approaches
• recommend reading to other members
• even supply material to the monthly reading group

This idea is still in-the-making so we are open to any suggestions and recommendations on how you think it might work better.  At the moment we have agreed that the books would be available at the monthly meetings/workshops/reading group and all members can borrow them.  We could include details on the WIKI (to be built as part of updating our website).  The site might also include a discussion forum where we could discuss the books (like an on-line reading group).

I would be really interested in which books you would like us to buy.  Obviously there is a limited budget (as we are using the budget of £1k for other activities too) so we will buy those books that are most recommended by you.  PLEASE do participate with your thoughts and suggestions.  I will hold some of the money to purchase new books over the rest of the year so if you hear of any great new published material, then please keep me informed.
