I am writing to you to let you know about some significant changes at the As You Are Centre. In January 2012 we will take our first step towards charitable status with the recruitment of our Board of Trustees. We are looking for individuals with an interest and passion for the work we do the centre and a willingness to share knowledge and experience with other board members and Managers. As someone who has supported As You Are in the past I was wondering if you would like to join us as we celebrate this momentous occasion. Also, if you or anyone you know would be interested in becoming a trustee we would be very interested in hearing from you.
We are keen to recruit Trustees who are sympathetic to the aims of our service and willing to offer this essential service guidance, support and governance. Trustees will need to be able to commit 2 hours each month and As You Are is happy to reimburse all reasonable expenses.
I have enclosed an invitation to our open evening and recruitment, the centre will be open from 5.30 and light refreshments are provided. Managers, Counsellors and directors will be there to answer any questions you have on trustee roles or service provision. If would like to find out more about this event or becoming a trustee please contact me on; 07952 754 859.
